People have a magnitude of reasons for joining a club, it may be to lose weight, change your shape, become fitter or to simply chill out and unwind. Whatever your goals Club Woodham can provide you with all the expertise you need to achieve success.

Upon joining Club Woodham you will receive four personal training sessions and each month thereafter you will receive an additional personal training session and a power plate session to ensure you stay on track. So when you choose a club, make sure it’s one that gives you the best opportunity to achieve success. Our qualified instructors can establish heart rate training zones and calculate the optimum number of calories you should be consuming, and use a number of other techniques which help you on the road to success.

Weight Loss
Weight loss can be one of the most challenging yet rewarding goals to achieve. As you train and your body becomes fitter and stronger your training programme must adapt in order for you to keep making progress, this is why we will be on hand to provide all the support and guidance you require, every step of the way.

Toning
For many people achieving the shape you want and keeping it is the priority. Carefully selected exercises with the right number of repetitions are essential.

Increased Energy Levels
Incorporating exercise into your daily routine helps you to become fitter and healthier, it also helps you to create better sleeping patterns. This enables you to re-charge your energy levels more effectively, helping you to keep going all day long.

Increased Flexibility
With stronger, fitter bodies, you should also become more supple and flexible and develop an increased range of motion through your joints. We have Yoga on our studio programme a class aimed to help you achieve this. The Power Plate is a piece of equipment in the gym which has been shown to greatly improve flexibility.

Build Muscle
As with weight loss programmes, those that aim to build muscle require detailed training routines with the correct exercises, number of repetitions, set and rest periods inbetween. These programmes must incorporate time for the muscles to recuperate. Nutritional guidance is essential to identify the correct foods and number of calories to consume to achieve optimum results.

Sport-Specific Training
Each sport has its own specific physical demands. The difference between winning, drawing or losing isn't always determined on the field, the court or the pitch, more often it is determined by the preparation beforehand. We have the latest equipment to help you target the areas on you body that need developing the most to support you in your sporting endeavours.

Rehabilitation
GP's often recommend types of rehabilitation exercise with the majority of injuries or conditions that they diagnose. If you have been advised to exercise as part of your rehabilitation programme, we will be able to support you. After taking advice from your specialist or GP, we can work with them to create a programme that will see you get back to normal, quickly and safely, and in some cases, actually stronger than before. Our instructors have the knowledge to prescribe exercises for a range of rehabilitation needs.

Reduce Stress, Relax & Unwind
It doesn't need to be all hard work. What could be better after a long day than to relax and unwind in a sauna, steam room or even in a Yoga class. You could even enjoy a cup of coffee and read the papers in the bar.

Social Activities
Club Woodham offers a wide range of social events with live music, quiz nights, wine tasting evenings, etc, as well as inter-club activities such as racketball evenings appearing regularly on the agenda. We also organise out-of-Club activities like golf days, go-karting and paint-balling. There are many activities to choose from and what is great is that the people there already share your interest.
